On April 5, 2022, the Public Utility Commission adopted a revised Emergency Rule 2.500. This revised emergency rule extends the amended filing and procedural requirements and alternative procedures to reduce or eliminate in-person contact between members of the public and Commission staff or other members of the public to reduce the risk of exposure to the COVID-19 virus. Because we expect the office will reopen and we will resume typical mail processing while this rule is in place, Rule 2.503 permits electronic or paper filing rather than requiring electronic only. This rule facilitates a slow transition to accommodate members of the public with varying degrees of vulnerability to COVID-19.
