Wind Facility Compliance
The Commission has approved four large-scale wind-generation facilities in Vermont: Deerfield (Docket 7250), Sheffield (Docket 7156), Georgia Mountain (Docket 7508) and Lowell Mountain (Docket 7628). Each is subject to a Commission-approved sound-monitoring and sound-complaint procedure that includes steps intended to resolve complaints directly with the operator of the wind-generation facility.
Persons wishing to file complaints regarding wind facility sound levels should file their complaints directly with the facility operator. This allows the operator an opportunity to promptly assess and address the circumstances resulting in the complaint. Contact information and links to the approved procedures for each facility are below.
