Public Hearing: Attendees Identify Issues for PUC to Address Regarding Proposed Natural Gas Pressure-Regulation Station in Monkton

The Public Utility Commission (PUC) held a public hearing in Monkton on January 8, 2018.  Hearing attendees asked the PUC to address their concerns regarding the Vermont Gas Systems, Inc. (VGS) proposal to construct a pressure-regulation station along the natural gas pipeline in Monkton, VT (Case #17-4909-PET). The transcript of the public hearing is available here and in ePUC.
On November 9, 2017, VGS filed a petition seeking authorization to construct the pressure-regulation station, pursuant to a memorandum of agreement with the Town of Monkton, in order to bring natural gas service to the residents and businesses of the Town.  The public hearing was preceded by an information session at which VGS briefed the public on the project.  The information session was followed by the public hearing.
The public is encouraged to submit written comments on these investigations via the PUC electronic case management system, ePUC; US postal mail: 112 State St., Fourth Floor, Montpelier, VT 05620; or, email: Email the Clerk.   All comments should include Case #17-4909-PET in the title.
