On January 15, 2021, the Public Utility Commission submitted its final report on all-fuels energy efficiency in Vermont to the Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Energy and the House Committee on Energy and Technology. The report states that Vermont has the people, the know-how, the infrastructure, and the coordination in place to help Vermont reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the transportation and heating sectors. However, the report notes that additional funding is needed and provides principles and recommendations to guide lawmakers' considerations regarding funding.
