I sell one of the fuel types listed, but I don’t think all of it is used for heating purposes. How do I report this in my registration?
Vermont law requires entities that sell “heating fuel into or in Vermont” to register annually with the Commission. Heating fuel is defined as “fossil-based heating fuel, including oil, propane, natural gas, coal, and kerosene” (see 30 V.S.A. § 8123(11)). If you are unable to identify whether the fuel you sold went to heating use or some other use, please report it as heating use.
