The Vermont Public Utility Commission has produced three new guides to make it easier for members of the public to participate in the Commission’s regulatory proceedings. Written in recognition that the Commission’s quasi-judicial proceedings and vocabulary can be difficult for non-lawyers, the documents can be downloaded directly from the PUC website.
A Citizen’s Guide to the Public Utility Commission and Public Participation and Intervention in Proceedings Before the Public Utility Commission will be available as handouts at public hearings; A Guide to Evidentiary Hearings will be provided to non-lawyers who have been granted party status in cases with an evidentiary hearing.
